Our founder, Owen Perry, the sole owner of Delicias Restaurant of Rancho Sante Fe, had the idea of cataloging his award winning wine cellar. Enter Alex Marxer, marketing and technology extraordinaire, and the beginning of the Wine List Revolution, now known as i-Somm was consummated.

Our passion is to make the restaurant experience less intimidating for the diner and more manageable and profitable for the restaurant owner. We specialize in assisting restaurant owners in building their brand one impression at a time, delivering additional information and excitement to their guests. The self-guided educational aspect also takes some pressure off a sommelier or wine steward gauging customers’ wine interest and knowledge to determine how much information they’ll want to hear. Bottom line, more informed customer is a better customer and this tool helps.

With i-Somm each wine can now be presented with the same level of commentary and consistency regardless of waitstaff seniority or knowledge. i-Somm provides a tool to the restaurant owner that lets the diner get to know the wines and the food the restaurant offers in an intimate way. i-Somm offers the restaurant owner the ability to market their wine and food offerings to their clientele by the ability to offer customized Chef Specials and Wine Promotions that can be updated by the restaurant owner via the i-Somm Owners Portal.
